Marketing Pearson Edexcel at the Home School Expo
Our South African team took to their first expo over the weekend at the Gauteng Alternatiewe Onderwys Expo on Saturday 15th May 2021. Expos are an amazing opportunity to market our Pearson Edexcel International Centre and get to meet potential new learning partners so it was great to see Braam, Hennie, Mandy and Mari-etta taking the first one in their stride!
The expo was organised as a joint venture between SA Homeschoolers and KragDag SA Homeschoolers is a well-known name in the homeschooling community of South Africa, empowering parents to choose the best education for their children. KragDag is the event organiser, working with SA Homeschoolers on organising the home education expos in South Africa since 2013.
The team had the opportunity to get to meet a whole host of potential new learning partners along with a lot of online school and private candidates that were extremely excited about the opportunity of working with Pearson and Tutors & Exams. We had our presentation running in the background alongside both Pearson Edexcel and Tutors & Exams marketing materials. One of the great advantages of attending this expo was that many of the attendees were not aware that Pearson Edexcel was available in South Africa, so it was a fantastic talking point.
So, what do you need to know about our very first Tutors & Exams FIRST Pearson Edexcel Centre in Pretoria, South Africa?
- Mandy Francis is our Head of Centre and Mari-etta Van Der Bank is our Exams Officer.
- The new Exam Centre is based in Centurion, so easily accessible for candidates located in the Pretoria and Johannesburg areas.

As always with anything T&E, we have ambitious plans to roll out more Pearson Edexcel Centres in South Africa and other international locations in the future, giving us fantastic access to Edexcel assessments to thousands of international private candidates everywhere.
