Mock Week: Prepare With Confidence

Mock Week at Tutors & Exams South Africa is designed to give candidates and parents a true preview of the real exam experience, well before exam day arrives. Running from 23 March 2026, this dedicated week of mock examinations helps reduce anxiety, build confidence, and ensure everyone knows exactly what to expect.

For candidates, Mock Week recreates real exam conditions from start to finish. This includes writing in official exam rooms, following invigilator instructions, understanding exam day processes, and learning the important do’s and don’ts of sitting an exam. Candidates practise using authentic past examination papers from Cambridge International Education and Pearson Edexcel, allowing them to experience the structure, timing, and expectations of real board exams.

For parents, Mock Week provides valuable insight into the administrative and practical side of exams. This includes understanding exam preparation, on-the-day procedures, navigating the exam centre, and meeting the Tutors & Exams SA team, offering reassurance ahead of the final examinations.

Candidates can choose between two mock options:

Unmarked Mock

Candidates write under full exam conditions and take the paper home along with the official mark scheme. This allows them to mark and review the paper with a parent, tutor, or educator, helping identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Marked Mock (Upgrade Option)

This follows the same exam process, but the completed paper is sent for official marking by Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel markers. Candidates receive an accurate result and clear insight into how the examination boards assess and award marks.

Mock Week is the ideal warm-up for the exam season ahead. Familiarity builds confidence, preparation reduces stress, and practice makes progress.
