    In 2019 after returning from an overseas training workshop, Professor Atia Adam (DD) PhD, had an epiphany and realised that her expertise with the International Primary & Lower Secondary Curriculum should be shared within her own community, and the broader South African Homeschooling fraternity, hence the birth of ARK ACADEMY on 2nd February 2020.  The experience and knowledge that she gained over many years had to be shared with everyone and anyone who was willing to learn and to upskill themselves, especially in the Homeschooling environment.  Parents are able to achieve so much if given the correct tools and guidance to do so. This was the spark that ignited the idea for her International Primary & Lower Secondary Training Workshops.  Initially limited to the Cape Town area, but with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, it went online and became a National and International phenomenon.

    The Workshops are based on her many years of teaching, of training teachers Internationally and Locally and amalgamating the UK, US, Australian and other Curricula for the Homeschooling environment. It has been designed to enable Parents, to educate their child/ren using an Internationally relevant curriculum, ensuring that their children can become Global participants.

    As the Workshops gained in popularity, Parents approached her with more requests for assistance and this led to the establishment of ARK ACADEMY’s:

    2. Feedback & Support Service
    3. Online School for Stages 2 to Stages 8
